The replica of Grauman’s Chinese Theater in the new Disney-MGM Studios in Florida was used for this scene with effects added to make it look like 1938 Hollywood.
Disney-MGM Studios (now Disney’s Hollywood Studios), opened on this day in 1989. The image above appeared after shows like The Mickey Mouse Club and Adventures In Wonderland on The Disney Channel. Other TV shows and films like Newsies were also filmed there in the park’s early days when it was an active studio lot.
